BART
The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train to downtown San Francisco is highly recommended. The service is easy, fast and very inexpensive. Trains depart every 20 minutes from both San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) airports. Fares from SFO or OAK are under $6.00 one way and the trip to San Francisco takes only 30 minutes or less. Directions from SFO Airport:
The BART station is located in the SFO International Terminal. Getting to BART is easy. From terminal three (3), it's a five minute walk through to BART and a 10 minute walk from terminal one (1). You can also take Airtrain from the terminals directly to the BART station. International passengers should turn right upon leaving the customs area and follow the signs to the escalator going up to the BART station. The fare is $5.15 one way and the average trip is about 30 minutes to the Powell Street Station, which is the closest station to Union Square hotels. The Montgomery Street station is the closest station to Moscone Center, the San Francisco Marriott and surrounding hotels. The Embarcadero station is in the financial district.
Directions from Oakland Airport:
Proceed to the AirBART stop on the traffic island and take the AirBART shuttle to the Coliseum station. Upon boarding deposit $2.00 in the AirBART shuttle fare box. Purchase your San Francisco BART ticket ($3.15 one way) upon entering the station. Proceed upstairs and take a San Francisco bound train. The average trip takes about 30 minutes to the Powell Street exit, which is closest station to Union Square hotels. San Francisco Weather
San Francisco is blessed with a temperate marine climate and enjoys mild weather year-round. Temperatures seldom rise above 70°F (21°C) or fall below 40°F (5°C). Morning and evening fogs roll in during the summer months, but rarely persist. Visitors are most comfortable with a light jacket or coat handy, or in a suit. An all-weather coat will take the chill off cool evenings. Lightweight summer clothes are seldom practical in San Francisco.

Arrival via Caltrain
Exiting the station, cross 4th Street and catch the MUNI #15, #30, or #45 bus line and get off at 3rd and Howard Streets. Or to walk, turn left and walk up 4th Street, five blocks to Howard. Moscone Center West is located at 4th and Howard Streets with a second entrance on 4th Street between Howard and Mission Street.
Arrival by Car
From San Francisco International Airport; exit airport "North on Interstate 101" then follow directions below.
North on Interstate 101
Take 80 East. Then take the 4th Street Exit. Take a left on Bryant, a left on Third and a left on Howard. Moscone Center West is located at 4th and Howard Streets with a second entrance on 4th Street between Howard and Mission Street.
Via the Bay Bridge
Take the Fremont Street Exit to Howard Street and turn left on Howard. Moscone Center West is located at 4th and Howard Streets with a second entrance on 4th Street between Howard and Mission Street.
Via the Golden Gate Bridge
Take the Lombard Street Exit to Van Ness Avenue. Turn right on Van Ness. Travel south to Grove Street. This will be approximately two miles. Turn left on Grove Street. Continue to Market Street. Cross Market Street and travel south on 8th Street to Folsom Street. Turn left on Folsom, left on Third and left on Howard. Moscone Center West is located at 4th and Howard Streets with a second entrance on 4th Street between Howard and Mission Street.
