The Open Source Census (http:/www.osscensus.org) is a global community initiative to catalog the use of open source. Its purpose is to show that open source above the operating system level is widely adopted throughout the world and deployed in mission-critical settings by large enterprises.
Census results show that large enterprises are deploying more and more open source packages into mixed production environments. Come learn the latest Census findings and how these companies deal with support, component integration, security updates, bug fixes, and other issues that require special treatment when dealing with a combination of proprietary and open source software in the data center.
