Speaker: Winston Bumpus, President, Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF).
As deployment and usage of virtualization increases, system management complexity and cost has increased as well. DMTF management standards for server and client management have been key in reducing complexity and cost via management interoperability. The DMTF has also focused on developing standards for managing the lifecycle of a virtualized environment. This extends the DMTF standards to interoperable deployment and management of virtualized environments. This session introduces these virtualization standards, which are supported by vendors in their products now and how these solutions allow you to better manage a heterogeneous virtual environment.
